About the vault
About me
I’m Dan Davies, creator of Vino Vault. I built it to bring the wine reviewers I enjoy into one easy-to-browse catalogue. I’m a particular fan of Tom Gilbey and often saved screenshots of his YouTube clips to remember the wines he calls “Class”. I also wanted somewhere to keep track of my own bottles: which to buy again and which to avoid. Vino Vault is free to use and share, and I hope you enjoy it. I keep adding new recommendations as I find them.

Where the information comes from
Vino Vault brings together retailer and producer information, and public wine recommendations, including those from Tom Gilbey and others. Recommendation cards credit the person or publication behind the recommendation. A retailer listing supplies product information, not an endorsement.
Vino Vault is an independent wine catalogue and is not affiliated with or endorsed by anyone mentioned in the References links to their original public recommendations.
Your private wines
Choose the wine type and a label photo, then select Upload to create an AI studio bottle image. The remaining details can be entered afterwards. Enter the wine name and other details yourself before saving. Choose where you bought it to search for a matching retailer image and price, or keep your photo. Studio bottle illustrations can be created when the AI image service is connected; they are labelled as AI illustrations because unclear label details may be approximate.
Your wines, photos, purchase details and tasting notes are visible only to you when signed in. Use your account to edit or delete them on any device.
Shopping list & sharing
Heart a recommendation to save it to your private Shopping list. Your saved wines follow your account across devices. Share wine sends a link to the public recommendation; your personal wines, shopping list and notes stay private. What’s New shows site and catalogue updates from the last seven days.
Ratings on recommendations
Signed-in users can rate recommendations from one to five stars. Everyone sees the average and number of reviews. Your name and email are never shown alongside your rating. Use My reviews to find, edit or remove your ratings.
Community availability
Registered members can report when a recommended wine appears unavailable and mark it available again if they find it in stock. These are member reports, not live retailer stock checks. The most recent report is shown without the member’s identity; always check the retailer before buying.
Prices & buying
Retailer matches show the price found on the product page and when it was checked, separately from the price you paid. Some retailers restrict automated access or do not publish a usable price; Vino Vault leaves it unconfirmed in those cases. Promotions, location, delivery charges, bottle sizes, stock and vintages can change. Always check the retailer before buying.
Sources & updates
Public recommendations are included when the source gives clear positive support for an identifiable wine. The research record links to the material reviewed and notes gaps in coverage. A daily check is scheduled for new recommendations.
